The diamond medallion appears to float on an intricate latticework of tiny ‘Wheels of Life’ and this is framed in the corners by an imaginative interpretation of the ‘Herati’ pattern. Notice the saturated colors in the corners which contrasts to the quieter yet luminous camel and ivory reserve. Preserved in extraordinary full pile condition, this antique rug is a stunning find.
