In this 150 year old tribal antique rug, whimsical abstracted flowerheads are drawn with an animated individuality that builds to produce a design of seldom seen energy. The 19th century tribal weaver’s complete mastery of dye work is vividly seen in this collectible antique rug’s great variety of deeply saturated colors. A potent carnelian red field serves as a backdrop for harmoniously blended goldenrod, walnut, plum, saffron and expressively shifting blues.
