Dear Friend,
Even as the supply of well-preserved, high collectible to museum-level antique carpets dwindles each year, we were fortunate to acquire a number of masterpieces in 2011. The vast majority of these rare oriental rugs never appeared on our website, but rather were sold privately to active clients as soon as they became available.
As it has become more and more difficult to experience carpets that demonstrate the heights this art form achieved during "The Second Golden Age of Rug Weaving," we thought you would appreciate viewing this 30-piece slideshow, selected from the spectrum of monumental carpets we placed last year. ENTER THE GALLERY.
The carpets highlighted in this special gallery range from a world-class Court-style carpet to a folkloric Bakshaish Camelhair rug. The Tabriz represents an astonishing technical feat in palace-size dimensions while the tribal-inspired Bakshaish portrays a field of endless wildflowers in its simplest terms. Among the numerous pieces for which I have seen no counterpart in person or in the rug literature is a circa 1800 Senneh area rug with unfathomably pure colors and a Caucasian Marasali Shirvan carpet of unmatched fineness. Across the gamut, these rugs eloquently communicate the singularity of expression of their weavers supported by an astonishing knowledge of their craft.
We are grateful to our impassioned clientele, who continue to motivate us to search out works of such soaring magnitude. We hope you find this viewing, available through March 31st, to be enriching. We invite you to contact us by phone at 800-441-1332 or email with your questions and inquiries.
Very best wishes,

President and Founder
