This consummate quality, very early masterpiece carpet is a stellar representative of the acclaimed carpet designer, Hadji Jallili, of Tabriz. Extraordinarily tightly woven, its minute and precise detail work permits the pastoral design to achieve a sculpted effect. The beloved Hadji Jallili color palette is especially radiant here, with a shaded pomegranate base and a profusion of taupes, celadon and gold offset by the deepest midnight indigo blue. Offering a tremendous sense of movement and visual depth, this consummate quality antique carpet remains in unusually fine condition, especially considering it is over 150 years of age.
