Grand Carpets from Illinois & Washington Estates

An Updated Glimpse Offering Exciting New Rugs to View

We have just refreshed our inventory with a number of astonishing new selections from these two long-held family caches. This acquisition was so extensive that it was not possible to prepare and photograph all of the carpets at the start of the event. This Special Gallery offers a generous introduction to these new additions, along with exciting pieces still available from the initial group.

The response to this special event has been extremely gratifying thus far. We invite you to join the clients from around the U.S., as well as Europe, South America, Australia and New Zealand, who have dipped enthusiastically into this rich assemblage.

The Illinois Estate included a grand English Manor on Lake Michigan, a high-style apartment in Manhattan and an oceanfront family compound in Florida. This family’s taste tended toward formal and town carpets, notably Ferahan Sarouk, Bijar, Kashan, Tabriz, Sultanabad and Serapi. These extraordinarily graceful carpets are perfect to supremely decorate the sophisticated home.

The Washington Estate features rugs from a substantial 19th century home that was in the family for four generations and an expansive Arizona retirement residence. A truly eclectic assemblage of rugs, it contains many of the oldest, most rare pieces in this special event, including a cornucopia of antique Caucasians and other tribal and village rugs, ideal for both budding and seasoned collectors.
