Twitter Instagram Facebook Pinterest(Connoisseur-Caliber) ("New Arrivals Gallery") A dynamic, extremely finely crafted piece for display either on an intimate floor space or on the wall, this one-and-one-half-centuries-old collectible tribal rug offers a stirring rendition of the diagonally oriented sunburst motifs design. Against a midnight indigo “sky", each crisply drawn sunburst contains at its center an individually conceived 8-pointed star, of which no two are quite the same. Complex shifting of glowing, earthy colors create a mesmerizing sense of upward movement in both the vertical and diagonal direction enhanced by a crisp clarity of drawing. On close inspection, the sunbursts introduce many tonal combinations, adding fascinating complexity. The diagonal-striped main “Mountain "border is thought to have been inspired by the lofty mountainsides of the towering Caucasus range just to the west of Baku. Learn About This Rug Type
