Connoisseur caliber in every way possible, this astoundingly vigorous 140-year-old "Bird" Kuba pulsates with incredible energy, not least from the inclusion of the most striking melon orange in its groundbreaking palette. Its floating field motifs are intriguingly archetypal, drawn with profoundly organic contours that reflect a direct lineage to the most ancient Near Eastern symbology. We virtually never encounter so effective a juxtaposition of light and dark tonal values: antique parchment zones make it possible for robin's egg blue, khaki, lavender and teal to reach their most intensified, potent expression. At Claremont, we continually re-stock our Caucasian collection with collecting gems. Learn About This Rug Type
