(High-Collectible) ("The California Collection") This enthralling, quite early, deeply emotively patterned representative of the Seichur Kuba subgroup is a window into an earlier period of Caucasian rug-making. Never-before-seen, this delightfully mind-boggling piece reveals an adventurous Vase motif that initially appears to be a totally abstract pattern until examined more closely. A bouquet explosion of delectable blossoms ascends the field, elaborated by the edgy spontaneity found throughout its small dimensions. This confident, unpredictable expressiveness, much heralded by rug scholars, is tremendously rewarding when seen at its flagrant best. To create an immersive, enrapturing visual texture effect, the riotous palette alternates between brilliant flashes of light and dark color in a virtuoso juxtaposition of ultramarine, sapphire, denim blue, rose gold, hunter green, citrine, and burnt carnelian. An expertly conceived series of borders offers a frame as endlessly fascinating as the “canvas” in the center. Supported by the highest quality wool, the vivifying art in this splendiferous, pulsating mat-size rug invigorates the senses and uplifts the spirit. Its outstanding condition is another deep allure.
