(High-Collectible-Plus) (One of 70 "Best-of-Their-Type Rugs" Sold in 2025) This 175-year-old knockout proudly displays one of the most seldom found of Caucasian Kazak rug patterns of heavily abstracted 'Tree of Life’ motifs. It is extraordinarily rare to see this format expressed as three vertically aligned trees and in such an orderly architectural rendering. Every form is crisply expressed across richly dyed backgrounds of hand-brewed Kazak color, notably the sumptuous, finely textured garnet red field, luminous Egyptian blue outer border, and precious spruce greens found throughout. Flanking the multi-colored, sharply etched calyx main border, glowing reciprocal crenellations are buttressed by tertiary bands of the S-shaped cloudband device for extra security of the sacred precinct within the field. A splendid representative of the vigorous high mountain Kazak weaving tradition, this irresistibly enchanting piece embodies a significant aspect of the tribal cosmology and symbology inherited by the Caucasian peoples.
