(Connoisseur-Caliber) ("New Arrivals Gallery") A standout heraldic piece among the most ruggedly geometric styles found in Caucasian weaving, this tremendously impactful Fachralo Kazak epitomizes the tribal rug aesthetic. It employs abstract botanically based ancient symbology in its most elemental forms to communicate the shared cultural identity from this sought-after substyle. A tetrad of latch-hook diamond medallions occupy the center, each depicting the sacred ‘four directions’ and are accompanied by curling cloudbands that represent the celestial dragon — a symbol brought westward by Tamerlane in the 14th century, forever entering the design lexicon in areas of Persian influence. Wonderfully graphic insignias flank either side of the medallion column in an orderly fashion, standing out against the luminous, deep ruby-red ground. The elemental pattern in the cobalt blue border presents an exciting contrast to the field, with geometricised flowers and golden vinery that looks like a long-lost writing system. Constructed of exceptional quality wool, its unfathomably vibrant naturally sourced color sparkles through velvety heavy pile.
