A single niched and layered diamond medallion of Shirvan’s pattern tradition commands the design, stretching to the borders. The resulting corner spandrels are filled with an original, captivating treatment of a fresh field of flowers floating beyond the borders. The abrash is bold and adventurous, particularly the flashes of sky blue, crossing through medallion and border.
