Twitter Instagram Facebook Pinterest(High-Collectible) Sharing a design trajectory that dates back to Large Pattern Holbein rugs of the 15th century, the Karachov Kazak sub-style is a regal tribal design, woven on the eastern side of the Caucasus Mountains. A masterfully spacious harmony of proportion and visual rhythm dignifies the field and the double ram’s horn border. Karachovs are recognizable by their octagonal medallions that are wider than tall, that in turn necessitates a its distinctive, squarish shape. Another pattern particular to this iconic style are the four star-filled squares seen in the corners of this piece. The only Caucasian sub-style to regularly use rich green as a field tone, the hue of this piece is a rich spring green indicating greater age than most examples. Happily, this compelling tribal rug is in excellent condition. Learn About This Rug Type
