(Connoisseur-Caliber) An entirely one-of-a-kind tribal rug ideal for the connoisseur, its singular color palette is breath-taking and represents an intentional departure from the Kazak most-used chromatic template of red and royal blue. Using only carnelian red, a profusion of gold and honeycomb hues with punctuations of sapphire blue, its virtuoso weaver achieves astonishingly fluid and expressive effects. The confidently striated aureate hues across the upper field are especially thrilling, adding evocative depth and splendor. The latch hook diamond central axis is itself evidence of more artistic exploration while secondary “Wheels of Life” join the profusion of dancing symbols in the field. An original inner border with curly-cue tops invests this rug with additional delightful reasons for close inspection. It is brilliantly preserved in very good floor condition at 140 years of age.
