("New Arrivals Gallery") This magnificent tribal "long rug" offers a special iteration of the highly prized and seldom encountered Caucasian Akstafa design. Six sveltely stylized signature peacocks are on exhibit sporting two divergent depictions of their fanned tail feathers. A plethora of hooked emblems evokes the celestial dragon's energy while other tribal symbols, reduced to their most archetypal forms, add a whimsical, exuberant folk art ambiance to this piece. Time-softened, exotic hues include goldenrod, aqua, rose quartz, vivid vermillion, burnt umber, breathtaking cerulean, and raspberry - to name a few! The parchment-toned border holds a repeating "Kochak" symbol, with two charming chinkara gazelle guardians delightfully positioned near the top, skillfully resolving the spacing issue. Imaginatively, within the Kochak motif are fantastical striped creatures, the Burdock shrub symbol of protection and rosettes.
