Here iconic arboreal forms are only one part of an astonishingly broad artistic exploration. Designated by three elemental, naively abstracted Tree forms in shadings from forest green to slate blue, deconstructed diagonal boughs and their individual florets form an immersive textural zone of continual slight variation. In the sheltered clearings that periodically open as in nature, its deeply inspired weavers have inserted a phenomenal profusion of intimate, pinpoint tribal devices evoking birds, numerous animals and human forms, flamelike garland-draped cypresses, dramatically angular, one-sided weeping willow trees and enigmatic chains of diamonds. The use of a narrow border filled with a single repeated motif, here a minimalist dragon symbol, is part of the region’s earlier aesthetic. Learn About This Rug Type
