Here an exotic, undulating Tree of Life design is presented on an especially warm, softly striated golden sand. Twin ascending boughs hold a profusion of perched and alighting birds, some in mid-flight, others tenderly serving chicks nesting at the intersection. Closely observed naturalistic flowers appear in varying scales, each petal attentively articulated. Alongside this verisimilitude, however, the weaver has embarked upon a delightingly unique flourish, as the pool along the bottom edge fancifully transforms into the central tree motif, seamlessly confounding expectation. A richly colored border captures birds in mid-song sitting among heavily laden peony bushes. Learn About This Rug Type
