(High-Decorative)
The influence of the Hadji Jallili (Haji Jalili) workshop can be seen in finely woven Tabriz rugs from the end of the 19th century. This radiant area size classical style rug is created entirely from warm tones that were part of the renowned workshop’s artistic contribution to the Second Golden Age of Persian weaving. Here muted earth tones including warm terra cotta and cornsilk are highlighted with accents of pale apricot, auburn and sage green, while mocha and walnut browns quietly add depth. The balance of its composition is exquisite, especially in the quartet of delicate floral sprays that complement this 19th century rug's spacious, unadorned reserve.
