(High-Decorative)
("New Arrivals Gallery") Known colloquially in the trade as the “Iron Rugs of Persia” due to their woolen double-weft construction, it was an artistic tradition significantly nurtured by the predominantly Kurdish population living in and around the town of Bijar, where they would have been encountered by merchants and outside traders. Here, the prized 'Garden' design, executed with dazzling sensitivity in the juxtaposition of vigorous colors, features continuous evidence of spontaneity to express the unaffected aesthetic of its creative folk art weavers from the outskirts of the town of Bijar have incorporated a great amount of energetic movement into this iteration. Each weeping willow or flame-like cypress motif is creatively deconstructed to its most essential forms. Rhythmic ripples of abrash color striations subtly provide an inner luminescence to the bold, graphic symbolism of the Tree devices emblazoned with casual symmetry. Happily, this area-size heartthrob is in very good heavier pile condition, offering both spirit and charm that will inevitably spread around the home.
