This consummately crafted, incredibly finely knottedKermanshah rug (a prized subgroup of Laver Kirmans) offers a sumptuously vivid jewel-toned palette, including highlights of marine green, flourishes of powder blue and citrine, along with an unfathomable level of dexterous detail work. It features an opulent multi-layered medallion and cornerpiece format with swirling vinery that creates a sense of an entrancing dervish like movement. The petite point detail work of its six secondary borders further demonstrates its high degree of skillful workmanship. Clearly cherished for over four generations, it is in outstanding, full-pile condition.
