(Connoisseur-Caliber)
("New Arrivals Gallery") A contender for one of the most endearing we have experienced, this very personal rug is a testament to the great versatility of tribal weaving artists to continuously find new ways to interpret their design pool, here eliciting a singular bird motif that is usually drawn as a tiny talisman. This incredibly winsome rug features legendary polychrome peacocks of varying scale, synchronized by serrated-leafed stalks upon a shimmering pool of sapphire, with attendants in waiting within the crimson perimeter. Enigmatically near the center of that same zone, two tiny blue zoomorphic figures evoke magically protective talismans, and spouted opalescent amphorae depict the source of all life. A supremely innovative pattern of double caduceus-esque florets and flanking colorful barber-pole accent borders adorn the rug's frame that begins and ends with a single jewel at the lower left.
