(High-Collectible)
("New Arrivals Gallery") Adeptly representing the superbly crafted rugs woven in the Afshar tribal village of Niriz, whose work is known for its endearing, highly abstracted renditions of floral motifs. A slender-stalked tree produces an extraordinary vision of glowing flowers and leaves that spread profusely across the field. The deep cerulean ground hue is expressive in its own right, with luscious abrash color shifts between the blue and green spectrums. Wonderful starflowers occupy the precisely rendered corner spandrels. Employing seldom-seen melon and tangerine hues throughout, this warm sunset palette is supported by a unique combination of hunter and pistachio green, luminous golden saffron, and cinnamon accent shadings reflect that she was a master dyer as well, as these tonalities are seldom seen. The border suite is a beloved, highly successful theme often employed in Niriz rugs featuring numerous floral species that appear to race around the perimeter. This fabulous work of art is in fantastic condition with mostly heavier pile.
