Presenting the best of the Ferahan tradition's masterful, entirely varied use of the allover pattern format, a grand flotilla of free-drawn mini jewel medallions drift aloft over the abrash dappled carnelian ground. A dexterously nuanced technique of expansion and compression within the field's "negative space" adds to an already deep sense of movement. Its mellow, wide-ranging colors are carefully shaded for depth and harmony. Citrine and butter yellow, jasper, teak, fern, and ocean green, along with powder, cerulean, and deep sapphire blues, combine to invite the viewer to become transfixed with admiration and fascination. This tour de force carpet remains in wonderful floor condition.
