("New Arrivals Gallery") In fantastic heavy pile condition from the beloved Heriz village tradition, this room-size carpet presents an allover elaborate meandering of blossoms and vinery that is an exciting departure from the classical Heriz center medallion format. A rather lyrical ambiance and exquisite tones of cerulean, emerald green, paled viridian, and rosy coral brilliantly support the larger-scale polychrome foliage successfully coalescing with smaller blossoms. Strategically placed Tuscan gold tones add to the overall splendor of this quite original, and expertly achieved design. Reflecting a traditional Oriental rug weaving technique, eight bisected blossoms appear at points where the field meets to the border, alluding to an infinite unfolding of the patterning beyond the border.
