("New Arrivals Gallery") Beginning with a central lotus medallion, this incredibly expressive and well-proportioned area-size Heriz radiates its luminescent botanical pattern into the ember red field. Along the interior edges, hints of the infinite go beyond the frame, a tantalizing prospect that was a natural part of the culturo-artistic worldview of the weavers. Daring jewel colors and their carefully selected positions, contrasting with one another, imbue every motif with positivity and a wonderful sense of animation that never gets boring. Jade and emerald greens shine in a glowing chorus with azure, yellow ochre, night-sky cobalt, goldenrod, mocha, teal, ruby, and rose raise their chromatic voices in an eight-part harmony. The elemental design paradigm is echoed by lyrical border motifs, which provide a pleasantly complementary texture and counterpoint to the forms of the field. Its presence in the room, seldom-found size, and heavier pile condition make this piece a fantastic find indeed.
