Twitter Instagram Facebook Pinterest(High-Collectible) ("Best-of-its-Type Sold in 2020”) This is an extraordinary piece from early Heriz weaving’s prized, seldom encountered silk tradition, revealing masterful formal formatting and patterns. It vividly demonstrates how the great sheen of silk breathtakingly illumines the potent saturated hues of the Heriz palette. Unlike most silk rugs that strive to achieve symmetrical perfection, this medallion carpet offers striking color shifts, note the top and bottom spandrels, and constant evidence that all of the tiny details and main border designs of this carpet were woven without a cartoon. To study this, be sure to click through to the rug's three massive images. Incomprehensible exactitude, however, was marshaled to construct the secondary tulip and rosette borders. A unique elongated pod-like motif is adroitly used horizontally, adding an unusual dynamism as a whole to this remarkable rug. Learn About This Rug Type
