Twitter Instagram Facebook Pinterest(High-Decorative) ("New Arrivals Gallery") This wonderfully detailed Karaja employs an "Eagle Kazak” style starburst central medallion, creatively borrowed from weavers of the nearby Karabagh district of the Caucasus Mountains. In this superb quality piece, an unusually diverse color palette chosen by the artist-weaver is used with striking effect. The intriguing, casually drawn main border is replete with jade greens and a lively smattering of apricot, which juxtapose well with the seldom seen golden yellow main border. Also, noteworthy is the masterful use of ab, heavy-pilerash, (intentional color shifts), most evident in the two teal medallions, but is also subtly employed throughout the piece. The appeal of this rug is further enhanced by it’s superb condition at over one hundred years of age. Learn About This Rug Type
