Its visionary field pattern constantly transforms itself, enchanting its viewers with its deceptively sophisticated allover design of spontaneously composed heraldic escutcheon pendants, abstracted blossoming trees, and myriad artfully rendered flowerheads in a variety of complementary scales. Diminutive daisy florets flurry around the larger palmettes like cherry blossoms, blown away in the breeze. Tucked between these aqueous motifs are fantastical miniature creatures in celeste blue and lions with the extended paw pose, the proud emblem of the Safavid dynasty.
