(High-Decorative) A spare, virtually tribal sensitivity informs the graphic artistry of this stunning Bijar (Bidjar) corridor size antique Persian carpet, marrying vivid, simple geometry with expansive use of precious camelhair. Joyful, chromatic hues, including lemon and deep green, are liberally infused throughout balanced medallion, pendants, and cornerpieces. A testament to the pride taken in this superb weaving, its date (corresponding to 1895 AD) is inscribed in two places in its spacious reserve.
