In the 19th century his workshop created a completely original expression of quiet symmetry and perfection. The lobed medallion and spandrels exhibit astounding dexterity and create a fascinating, infinitely immersive universe of swirling botanical imagery. A soft and contained palette of spice, eggshell, apricot, ochre palette is shown in subtle and entrancing interplay.
