("New Arrivals Gallery") Exhibiting precise drawing and a balanced, elegantly subdued naturally dyed palette, this finely crafted Tabriz woven in the famed Hadji Jallili workshop is a study in miniature of an acclaimed Persian style. Set within an organically contoured reserve, an engaging eight-point medallion in scarlet sprouts understated pendants. Note how the almost imperceptible abrash (intentional color striation) of the sand-toned ground animates and orients the entire design, recalling the gentle yet irresistible behavior of forces in nature. Painstaking naturalistic detail in the surrounding foliage creates subtle, pinpoint accents of light and dark that contribute significantly to the seamless presentation. Delicately drawn blossom and vine motifs in alternating warm and cool hues rhythmically ornament the triple border suite. This winsome delight is in virtually unblemished condition.
