Twitter Instagram Facebook Pinterest(Connoisseur-Caliber) This is certainly among the most charming and ingenious Khamseh tribal rugs we have offered. It combines all of this style's most iconic attributes: the prized cane field is woven with magnificent dexterity, while the elemental, iconic murgi (chicken motifs) are rendered in an astonishing hue of sapphire blue, and checkered skirts flank both ends. The signature color for the nomadic Khamseh weaving group continues into the border and is exquisitely evocative. The latticework of the spandrels is both delicate and spontaneous, with a naive tulip within each tiny compartment. The floating boteh ("Seed of Life" motifs) in the border are quite clearly rendered, with tiny trees inside many of these symbolic forms. It has been maintained in superb condition.
