(“LONDON VAULT COLLECTION")
Nineteenth century Laver Kirmans were renowned for the palpable effect of their particularly delicate drawing. Enhanced by the inimitable patina of substantial age, this early, quiet masterpiece is a symphony of floral forms and cypress trees. A golden parchment field establishes a sophisticated tonal ground on which a surprising number of hues can can seen including peach, cranberry, burnished gold, periwinkle, and ink blue. Executed with awe-inspiring fluidity, individually rendered flowers seem to be dancing, a much prized attribute of the most skillfully rendered pieces in this style. This rug was conceived for close up viewing and would be splendid on a stair wall or special small seating area. Learn About This Rug Type
