Twitter Instagram Facebook Pinterest(High-Decorative) Even among the cherished subgenre of antique Court rugs that employ the the boteh ("Seed of Life") as their allover design, this uniquely expressive piece takes the boteh theme much further creatively than many Laver Kirman carpets we have encountered. In addition to the majestic rows of grand-scale devices that gradually ascend the field horizontally, the discerning eye discovers at least two other orientations interspersed alongside, with some diminutive individual flourishes set on a diagonal, others nearly horizontal. The equally ambitious and layered borders intentionally become progressively lighter and more delicate in the lower section, allowing accent flashes of cobalt blue, striking garnet, celadon and rose to come to the fore.
