(Connoisseur-Caliber)
Refreshingly singular among Persian Malayers, this intriguing village rug artistically departs from local traditon, through the unusual use of a camelhair field and a compelling, independent vision. Grand, fancifully stylized speckled flowers take center stage accompanied by a flurry of floating blossoms. All are dramatically sharpened by bold outlining and heightened, in turn, by saturated and alluring naturally sourced exotic colors. Scintillating hues of royal blue, cinnabar, walnut, and pale rose embrace each other in a dynamic interplay. Lovely shades of green shifting between jadeite, sage, and emerald redouble the painterly sense of chromatic choice by its dexterously artisan weaver. The visual euphoria caused by the unusual tulip and daffodil main border completes the surprise and delightful harmony of the inventive composition. This utterly fascinating piece has retained extremely good medium pile.
