Twitter Instagram Facebook Pinterest(High-Collectible) ("Best-of-its-Type Sold in 2020”) Early Mohtasham Kashans are exceedingly rare and ones with a “double-column” design exponentially rarer, making it absolutely astonishing that we had two rugs of this deeply prized format to offer last year. Framed by the column and archways, three ebony vases support upstretched flowering vines that cross and continue upward, although only the central portion gives us the full view of this exquisite imagery. The symmetry and delicate etching of this finely woven portrayal is staggering, made more three dimensional by the vinery that encircles the pillars and more enchanting through the exceptional hierarchy of size captured by a silhouetting of all the blossoms, even the tiniest, by the ivory field. Lit by a 200-year-old patina, this visionary carpet is finished with an elaborate archway border that features highly faceted flowerheads on a glowing midnight indigo base. Learn About This Rug Type
