Ultra-fine, High-Collectible examples such as this achieve this aliveness through crystal clear drawing juxtaposed with more ethereal motifs to create visual depth based on a sensitive observation of nature. A fantastical feathery vase is the source of a lithe spray of bounteous blooms erupting from wire-thin branches. Two peacocks with radiant tail feathers spread wide strut their stuff, pining for the attention of adjacent peahens who glance in their direction in the lower corners of the field. Although peacocks appear across rug types, we have yet to see them presented in such a charmingly active portrayal.
