(Connoisseur-Caliber) The perfect antique carpet for those who favor the sublimely exquisite, this virtuoso example of the prized Ivory Sultanabad group offers the extremely fine weave and delicate drawing of the renowned Persian workshops funded by the Manchester based Zeigler and Company. It combines particularly petite point detail work, a subdued, yet inviting palette of naturally dyed colors, highlighted by pale and cornflower blues, golds and ochres, and an original ambiance of stylized formality. This workshop was known for carpets of excellent wool quality that can still be enjoyed in the good pile condition of this quietly ornate carpet.
