Seldom-found antique Persian carpets of the great age of 150 years old or more can exhibit an elevated level of artistry and sublime color hues not to be seen in later pieces. In this incredible oriental Laver Kirman oversize carpet, each of the myriad blossom and vinery motifs is original in form. Rare naturally dyed tones, such as lemon yellow, turquoise and aubergine abound. The cartouche reads, "By the Order of the Family Brazian," whose members were prominent patrons of the arts at that time.
