(Connoisseur-Caliber) Sumptuous tones enrich the lustrous surface of this outstanding antique palace-size Meshed Persian carpet in remarkable, heavy pile condition. (also spelled Mashhad), woven by the eminent Omogli workshop. Complete mastery of natural dyeing techniques allowed for an unusually comprehensive range of colors brought together in a spirited fashion against the rare saffron yellow field. Utilizing an extremely fine weave and great artistic control of design and color elements, a complex allover field pattern has been brought to life with a tremendous variety of floral forms. A stately border continues the intricately patterned vinery of the field and brings additional sophistication to this regal antique Persian Meshed carpet.
