At nearly 170 years of age, this entirely singular piece features a grand, overscale, and intriguingly asymmetrical medallion made even more dynamic by subtlely shifting indigo tones that create a palpable sense of depth. The irregular celadon decagon at its center introduces the organically drawn contours that characterize the spontaneity pervading the entire piece.
