(High-Decorative) With fascinatingly detailed drawing and an exceptionally harmonious palette of subtle natural hues, this inspiring Tabriz reflects the style of the renowned 19th-century master weaver, Hadji Jallili of Tabriz. A profusion of botanical forms spreads across the field from a lotus centered medallion into the walnut hued corner spandrels. Using a sophisticated palette of delicate corals and cocoa browns, the weaver masterfully plays with light and shadow with some tonal contrasts so subtle as to take ones breath away. In the primary border an ethereal forested landscape emerges with its rhythmic pace orchestrated by slender conifers wreathed by flowering branches. This rug offers great refinement and opportunity for decorative applications combining artistic creativity and masterful craftsmanship. Happily, it is well-preserved, and quite suitable for use on the floor.
