Offering a triumphant departure from the deep brick reds traditional to Ferahan Sarouk, this memorable piece opts for a more distinctive range of color, including dusky rose, warm rusts, celadon, buttercup, and apricot. Its unique artistry begins with the boldly muscular medallion, encased in broad vinery juxtaposed with the delicately diminutive floral ornamentation of the indigo interior, which ultimately extends into a pair of regal crown pendants. The filigreed foliage of the aged ivory reserve is more realistically rendered, with an adept layering of large and small scale elements as well as an almost crystalline clarity of the drawing, yields an awe-inspiring finale. A rare border offering features lusciously plumed rosettes, peerlessly shaded in a vibrant chiaroscuro, are all interlaced by vinery that slowly transitions from an electrum hue at the bottom to a soothing jungle green as it winds upward.
