(Connoisseur-Caliber) The visual surprise woven into this elegant Persian floral carpet is the winning touch of a master artist boldly re-inventing tradition, in this case the renowned rug designer Hadji Jallili (Haji Jalili) of Tabriz. Here a perfectly symmetrical carpet is offset by an intentional band of muted colors along the bottom meant to simulate a strong ray of sunlight hitting the surface. The idea to capture an ephemeral ray of sunlight by the time-consuming method of hand-knotting fascinated mature weavers and is here done with exquisite refinement. Still in excellent condition for floor use, this art-level rug is also a wonderful candidate for wall display. Learn About This Rug Type
