(Connoisseur-Caliber) This 145-year-old Persian Ferahan Sarouk (also spelled Feraghan Saruk) presents an original color combination for the medallion and corner piece design of this finely woven area size carpet. Masterful control of the striation in the old gold tone of its unadorned field is mesmerizing, especially when sunlight plays upon its lustrous wool surface. Our clients use such a distinctively patterned rug under a small table, in a passageway niche, or hanging vertically with the ability to be viewed from a distance. The latticework of flower faces that fill the medallion and spandrels add addition interest and charm.
