This is an entirely original, collectible tribal corridor rug that, while part of the Caucasian panoply, offers a stylized, more botanical theme than is typical of this grand tradition. Warm tones predominate with six lovely melon-toned blossoms and attendant smaller flowers and leaves filling the central rectangular field, each unique in size and exact form within a loosely encased hexagonal lattice design. Exquisite shades of watermelon, leaf green and cobalt appear throughout the enchanting field while frequent intentional striations of hue animates the warm tones of notably spacious main border. inexactitudes in the drawing and placement of the different motifs adds greatly to the enjoyment of this striking connoisseur piece.
