("New Arrivals Gallery") Always beloved and seldom-found, the great allure of antique Chajli rugs has made high-quality pieces in extremely good condition such as this incredibly difficult to find today. This 120-year-old representative boasts a particularly vibrant rendition of the traditional design of three octagonal-shaped medallions, each enclosing a series of highly abstracted latch hook branched trees and a square axis. This precisely woven virtually 4x8 tribal rug in heavy-pile condition offers a festive array of deeply saturated colors, and extremely lustrous wool. Note the especially wide range of warm reds, browns, greens and golds, and sapphire to cobalt blues. Bold enough to carry a much larger space, its full-pile condition will allow it to be used in an entry hall or as part of a suite of gallery runners. It would be spectacular hung vertically in a stairwell or horizontally over a sofa.
