("New Arrivals Gallery")A lighthearted whimsy emanates from this celebrative rug from the Mahal Persian village weaving tradition. A cornucopia of bright, naturally dyed colors dazzle the eye and senses as marigold yellow, sky-blue, sage green, and strawberry red flower blossoms are arrayed in three vertical bands of equal width. The harmoniously proportioned use of space is simultaneously capturing a sense of movement where the flowerheads are truncated at top and bottom, as if the patterns stretch into infinity. Excellent heavier pile condition and an extremely versatile, rarely found square shape assure that this piece will enliven any small room, niche or passageway to significant effect.
