(Connoisseur-Caliber) ("New Arrivals Gallery")This spectacular, unusually early piece is in the area-size format that is so seldom seen in Sultanabad rugs. The classical “Mina Khani” allover floral pattern of its field is presented in a deeply appealing dancelike fashion, with each blossom delicately and individual composed, connected by vinery that is continually reinvented. Its wondrously expansive color palette includes deeply time-seasoned tones that include salmon, azure, green, indigo, and wheat, all resting upon a ripe watermelon ground. Rather than employing the traditional wider main border framed by guard stripes, it features three borders of equal width, whose design has the same rhythm as that of the field, but in miniature. This is a tremendously emotional rug that invites much quiet contemplation. Learn About This Rug Type
