This lavishly patterned antique Persian floral rug offers sheer elegance and charisma in a dimension that is easily adaptable to a wide variety of decorative settings. Its color palette is amplified by the purposeful morphing of shadings one to another, a prized technique known as "abrash" that creates a painterly texture and endless visual interest. This is especially poignant in the shift from azure to paled lavender in the reserve. An atypical shade of golden Sahara sand also features prominently in the medallion and spandrels. Graceful botanical borders enhance its regal appeal and overall balance of the composition, and its glistening, heavy pile adds tremendously to its allure.
