(Connoisseur-Caliber) ("New Arrivals Gallery") This extraordinarily finely crafted small area rug thematically presents the New Eastern technique of depicting pattern expanding beyond the frame, thereby evoking a connection to the mysteries of the cosmos in the viewer, similar to viewing a starry night sky. Its elaborate, asymmetric keyhole and pendant wielding diamonds design rests on an exceptionally saturated carnelian red ground, skillfully highlighted by a generous use of Ferahan jade green. Its spacious main border of silhouetted organically drawn flower heads is an excellent corral to the stained glass complexity of the center. When juxtaposed with the secondary shades of apricot, honey gold and Caspian blue, this amazing portraiture of infinite patterning becomes alive and always new to the viewer. Heavier pile makes it extremely versatile. Learn About This Rug Type
